Why everyone keeps coming back.

La Grange, nestled in the charming alpine town of Morzine, France, is a delightful French restaurant and bar that effortlessly captures the essence of traditional Savoyard cuisine while offering a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a true home away from home. Situated at 60 Chem. de la Coutettaz, this culinary gem is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic flavors paired with impeccable service.

From the moment you step inside La Grange, you’re embraced by a cozy, convivial atmosphere where the crackling warmth of the indoor BBQ and the rustic decor echo the hearty, mountain-inspired dishes served here. The restaurant’s menu is a celebration of classic French fare with a focus on rich, satisfying textures and masterful flavor combinations. Dishes such as tender duck and succulent lamb shank come beautifully cooked to perfection, paired with sides that enhance every bite with complementary layers of taste.

One of the highlights that truly stands out is the authentic tartiflette—a dish that lovingly combines creamy Reblochon cheese, potatoes, and smoky bacon into a mouthwatering, indulgent experience. Meanwhile, the hot stone meat dishes offer an interactive element that adds a unique and memorable touch to dining here, especially for families. And of course, no meal is complete without dessert; the generous profiteroles served with luscious chocolate fondue, fruit, and marshmallows offer a sweet finale that guests, young and old, rave about.

The service at La Grange deserves special mention as well. The owner’s warm, engaging hospitality sets the tone for the entire dining experience, making guests feel genuinely welcome. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient — seamlessly balancing professionalism with friendliness. Whether it’s ensuring your fondue is perfectly melted or fitting you in during an unexpected downpour, the team’s dedication to guests’ comfort shines through.

Great restaurant. Best food we had all week. The owner was very welcoming and chatty, which was really nice. The staff clearly knew what they were doing and were very efficient and helpful. We ordered the duck and the lamb shank. Both dishes were beautifully cooked and the accompanying flavours of the sides were perfectly matched. We tried lots of restaurants during our break and this was definitely our favourite. The homemade spiced rum was delicious too! Where can I get some?!!!

Had a really lovely meal here yesterday. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and spoke good English. My children really enjoyed the indoor bbq and loved the roasted potatoes. I really enjoyed the tartiflette. The profiteroles were huge and my kids really enjoyed the chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows. A really cosy welcoming atmosphere would recommend. Generous portions

Sometimes, things just align, and that's exactly what happened with our visit to La Grange. We found ourselves caught in a proper downpour, desperately in need of somewhere warm and welcoming to eat, and they absolutely came through, fitting us in last minute, despite having to close their outside dining area. The food was good all around. I had their vegetarian offering which was beautifully presented and really tasty. In fact, everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. While one of our party thought their dish could have used a touch more seasoning, it was a minor point in an otherwise satisfying meal. Service was also good. They were attentive and efficient, especially considering how busy they must have been to squeeze us in on such a rainy evening. Overall, La Grange was exactly what we needed that evening – a warm, inviting spot with good food and friendly service.

We visited with the whole family from 11 years to 74 years and everything in between. Everyone was delighted with their meal. The kids shared the hot stone meat, I had the cod which was amazing and my sister in law had the steak which was equally delicious. My brother in law said the Tartiflette was the best he has had! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was perfect for a cost mountain lodge vibe.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here with the family. We could have used a few more children’s options on the menu. The chocolate fondue was a little disappointing with hard pears and brown bananas - just needed some more colourful fruit but appreciate sourcing is trickier at altitude. Otherwise the food was fantastic

Very nice place/food/service/location! Called in advance as the wife is vegan. Not typically easy to accommodate especially in the Haute-Savoie, but they went out of their way to ensure an existing dish on the menu was modified to serve it as vegan. And the dish tasted superb. Location couldn't be better, just off the main street, and feels nicely tucked away. Service was excellent, the waitress clearly knew her job, super friendly & professional, and ensured everything went smooth. Shall be back and have recommended to friends & family. Merci bien.
